Club Rules!

To enter the club, you need your membership card which is personal to you and must not be lent to anyone else. You’ll need to swipe or show your card on every visit. On your first visit we’ll also need to take your picture for security reasons.

You must be over 12 years old to join the gym.

Please wear suitable and appropriate gym clothing and footwear at all times. i.e. no bare chests, denim, flip flop, sliders, sandals etc. and PLEASE ensure your footwear is clean! Keep your valuables with you or in a locker at all times.

Please do not eat in the gym or studios.

Please arrive promptly for exercise class start times, 10 mins before; late arrival may result in being refused entry to the class.

Participants may book a maximum of 2 people for any one class.

Exercise class bookings can be made 7 days in advance in person, by phone or using our online booking system.

Please give at least 2 hours cancellation notice if you are unable to attend a booked class. Classes which are not cancelled will be charged for (full price for PAYG and £3 for Premium Package users).

Please replace weights and don’t drop them as it:
i)is a safety hazard
ii) damages the kit
iii) disturbs other members.

In the changing rooms, please close lockers after use and put all rubbish in the bins.

Please do not leave items in the lockers overnight. Any items left will be removed.

Please ask any instructors if you are unsure about any of the equipment, would like another programme or need any general advice - they are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and would be delighted to help. In the interest of everyone’s cleanliness and hygiene, please wipe down equipment after use.

If you’re using a smartphone, tablet or other device in the club or as part of your workout, it’s your responsibility to keep it safe and secure; we encourage you to keep it on you rather than on the equipment.

Please consider others when using your mobile phone and keep calls to a minimum.

You may not use the facilities whilst under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, tranquilizers or any other medication/substance which may affect your ability to exercise safely.

Only NBLT/Empire authorised personal trainers are permitted to train members in the gym. Anyone else undertaking members training will be asked to leave.

Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is strictly prohibited in all areas.

As much as you’d like to, you can’t live in the club so please be ready to leave by closing time.

Appropriate behaviour is required at all times so as not to jeopardise your safety or the safety of others. If, in our reasonable opinion, a member’s continued membership is likely to be injurious to the character and interests NB Leisure Trust, we reserve the right to terminate that membership.

We consider our members and staff one big, happy, healthy family so please respect the club, our staff and each other at all times.

Finally, if you need to leave us, we will be sad to see you go. Please speak to any of us to see if we can help in any way. However, if you really do have to go following your minimum commitment period, please give us 30 days written notice.
